Reinigen Sie Ihre Schmuckstücke im Idealfall nach jedem Tragen mit einem weichen Tuch. So lassen sich feinste Schmutzpartikel wie Staub, aber auch Schweiß und eventuelle Kosmetikreste schnell abreiben. Vermeiden Sie es, mehrere Ringe an einem Finger zu tragen. So können sich die Ringe nicht abnutzen oder verkratzen.
Schmuck vor Kosmetik und Feuchtigkeit schützen
Sollte Schmuck doch mal stark verschmutzt sein, sollten Sie nicht mehr wie warmes Wasser, eine milde Seife und weiche Tücher benutzen. Vergessen Sie nicht das Schmuckstück gut zu trocknen.

- Vor Schmutz schützen: Staub, Luftpartikel, Haarspray etc. – jegliche Art Schmutz kann sich auch dann an unserem Schmuck festsetzen, während wir ihn nicht tragen.
- Vor Feuchtigkeit schützen: Im Badezimmer herrscht die meiste Zeit eine erhöhte Luftfeuchtigkeit, kein guter Ort für Perlen, Edelsteine und Co.. Übrigens gerade Modeschmuck ist besonders anfällig.

- Ein spezieller Ort: Die Ringe, die wir täglich tragen, liegen oft am Waschbecken in der Küche, die Ohrringe auf dem Schälchen am Nachttisch, die Lieblingskette irgendwo im Bad – um zu vermeiden, dass unser Schmuck verloren geht, sollten wir einen Ort zur Aufbewahrung festlegen und ihn nur dort lagern.
- Schmuckkoffer: Spezielle Koffer bieten genügend Platz, für verschiedene Schmuckarten konzipierte Fächer und kleine Schubladen. So gelingt selbst bei einer großen Auswahl eine maximale Übersicht, Ordnung und Schutz unserer Lieblingsstücke. Hier lassen sich auch Edelmetallarten voneinander trennen.
